Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 21 July 2026
These terms govern the sale of Canning's products through this website. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Shipping & Returns policy.
Who we are
This site is operated by C.N.A. Companhia Nova de Aguardente Unipessoal Lda (trading as Canning's), Parque Empresarial da Ribeira Brava, Pavilhão 18, 9350-104 Ribeira Brava, Madeira, Portugal. Contact: info@canningsgin.com.
Age restriction
Our products contain alcohol. You must be 18 years of age or older to browse this site, place an order, and receive a delivery. By ordering, you confirm you are of legal drinking age. We may refuse or cancel any order where this cannot be reasonably assured, and delivery may require proof of age.
Products and pricing
Prices are shown in euros (€) and include VAT (IVA) at the applicable Portuguese rate. We take care to describe and price products accurately; where an obvious error occurs we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
Product images are illustrative; labels and packaging may vary.
Orders and payment
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm dispatch. Payment is taken at checkout via Stripe; we accept the methods shown at checkout.
We may decline or cancel an order (for example, if a product is unavailable or the age or delivery conditions are not met) and will refund any amount already paid.
Delivery
We currently deliver within Portugal only. Delivery timescales and any costs are shown at checkout. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Right of withdrawal and returns
As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal and separate rights if goods are faulty or damaged. See our Shipping & Returns policy for how this works and how to make a claim.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Consumer disputes may also be submitted to alternative dispute resolution and, for online purchases, via the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
